Chris founded Baxter Insurance in 1989 from his garage. He quickly moved the company into its downtown Santa Barbara location, where it remains today. Chris grew the company to be one of the largest and most respected insurance agencies in Santa Barbara County. He has three sons who are all grown. He lives locally and in his free time enjoys hiking the trails and beaches of Santa Barbara with his Golden Retriever named Kai. He also enjoys traveling the world when he can get away. Chris has put in many volunteer hours in Santa Barbara, coaching over 30 different youth sports teams while his kids were young, including baseball, basketball, soccer, and football.
